april so far

sitting down outside, sitting in the sun

Sure is green in sunny Sonoma 
And everything is in bloom
And I’m getting a second, third, fourth chance

What if for just the next minute I believe it?

Keeping it all in motion and then
I see something like magic,
And to witness it is something of a contract

And I am so lucky

And I did watch the oak leaves fall from the tree and I did hear them land against the rocks that are beneath my feet

And I did try to hold it all but found it all the better when I chose to let it go, and

I sure do love being here
