the sun came out after a few days of grey, couldn’t even see the mountain
put my face on,
attached a bird pin to my mamas jean jacket
drove to clare’s, snuck a cigarette while the dogs laid out
the answering machine is on,
leave a message!
came home and opened all the windows,
thought of my mom
I laid my spine down ontop the mulch, covered my eyes and warmed my hands
Poppy hid under the kale, waiting for birds. Seeing lots of finches, nuthatches, kicker birds (the towhee bird)— saw a coopers hawk today, or was it a sharp shin?
adjö!,
M
